Molecula Names Marc Degenkolb Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales

AUSTIN, TX – September 8, 2020 – Molecula, a Cloud Data Access platform for large-scale advanced analytical workloads and applications, today announced the appointment of Marc Degenkolb as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales.

Degenkolb brings more than 20 years of sales leadership experience at high-growth, innovative companies including Quest Software, DataSynapse, CA Technologies, Rocana, Delphix, and Aternity. In this role, he will lead all aspects of Molecula’s sales strategy and growth among mid-market and enterprise-class organizations looking to process the most demanding analytics, machine learning, and IoT workloads utilizing the company’s differentiated approach to data virtualization.

“Marc is an accomplished, results-driven executive leader with a solid history of building high-performing sales teams,” said Higinio (“H.O.”) Maycotte, CEO of Molecula. “We are confident Marc’s leadership and enthusiasm will accelerate our transition to an enterprise-grade software company.”

“Molecula believes we’ve reached a tipping point in data access, where the effort involved in making data accessible for real-time analytics far exceeds the value created with the data,” said Degenkolb. “Enterprises spend a lot of money preparing, aggregating and making numerous copies of their data before they can make decisions with it. I look forward to driving Molecula’s growth and bringing an entirely new approach to real-time data analysis to organizations that need it the most.”

In addition to his role at Molecula, Degenkolb also serves as an Advisor to the CEO of BellSoft, a leading OpenJDK contributor, and as an Operating Partner for Angelneers, a community of startup builders offering insights and guidance to the next generation of technology startups.

Degenkolb is based in Atlanta, Georgia and reports directly to the CEO, Higinio Maycotte.
